Following a careful assessment of 27 applications and a vote by the Directors-General Meeting on Urban Matters on 15 April, the host city for the Cities Forum 2027 has been selected.
Bilbao stood out for its strong track record in urban development and sustainability, as well as its clear commitment to hosting the event. The Spanish city is a place where industrial heritage and cutting-edge urban innovation come together, making it one of Europe’s most compelling urban success stories. It reflects the spirit of progressive urban development that the Cities Forum aims to promote.
