14 Years of Economic Development Consultancy – What’s Next?

Today marks a significant milestone for me – 14 years since I launched my consultancy business! It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of the impact I’ve been able to make in economic development for cities, regions, and local areas. My career in numbers speaks volumes:

  • 31 years of experience in economic development, including 15 years in consultancy, 12 years in the public sector, and 4 years in postgraduate research.
  • 6 Senior Executive positions at organisations like the Centre for Cities, London Development Agency, and East of England Development Agency.
  • Managed budgets of up to £25 million.
  • Led 25 local/regional economic strategies and 46 sector, innovation, or industry studies since 1998.
  • Supported 18 funding bids, helping to secure over £300 million since 1998.
